Sure, there are the obvious forms of negative self-talk (aka criticizing yourself constantly) but there are the less-than-obvious ones too — subtle forms of self-sabotage that emerge when you aren’t giving yourself the same kind of grace and patience you’d give a friend.

The solution? Learning how to break the habit of negative self-talk by introducing a certain level of mindfulness as well as healthy coping mechanisms that can help you counter negative self-talk.
